Back in December, Kodansha’s  Bessatsu Friend  magazine announced that Junko’s  Kiss Him, Not Me   manga would be ending in three chapters. That time has officially come with this year’s March issue of the magazine, which just put out the final installment of the series. Crunchyroll simulpubbed the manga and Kodansha Comics releases the print editions. Now it’s been reported that Nishiwaki has been officially fined to the tune of ¥200,000. At the current exchange rate, that’s $1,865. It does not appear the manga author will face any jail time. In October, DVDs which included videos of nude girls under 18 were found in Nishikawi’s office. At the time, he admitted to the charges. He was quoted as saying, “I liked girls in the higher grades of elementary school to the second grade of junior high.” At the time, Jump Square magazine, which had been running the  Rurouni Kenshin  Hokkaido Arc, canceled the serialization, and TV screenings of the live-action  Kenshin  films were canceled. The manga, by Takeshi Hinata, has been running in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2004, and tells the tale of young basketball player Sora Kurumatani, who whips his high school team of slackers into serious hoopsters. (Also, he’s like five feet tall.) The series will be directed by  KanColle  veterans Shingo Tamaki and Keizo Kusakawa, whose title is general director. Go Zappa ( Blend S ) will handle scripts.
